The picture at the top is fresh dill. If you’re going to go through the trouble of making healthy foods, use the freshest of ingredients and that includes herbs. If you don’t have a kitchen garden, grow fresh herbs in containers outside your kitchen door or wherever
you have easy access from your kitchen.

Portuguese porridge (papas)…it’s so simple to make (and delicious) that you’re going to laugh! Even though it’s considered a porridge, it’s more of a snack because of its lightness. Gluten-free. Make it vegan by using non-dairy milk. Recipe by portugueserecipes.ca
Portuguese porridge with grits…similar recipe as above, but more substantial because of the grits. Add hard-boiled eggs and bits of meat for added protein. I’ve seen recipes where the papas is used as the base for one-dish meals by adding vegetables, meats, poultry, and eggs. Be creative in the kitchen and experiment! Gluten-free.
